Sin

Understanding the real notion of sin may set you free. Some commentators observe an original Pagan meaning of ‘sin’, which translates as: “To pick up your bow and miss your target.”

According to Wikipedia, “The English Biblical terms translated as ‘sin’ or ‘syn’ from the Biblical Greek and Jewish terms sometimes originate from words in the latter languages denoting the act or state of missing the mark; the original sense of New Testament Greek ἁμαρτία hamartia ‘sin’, is failure, being in error, missing the mark, especially in spear throwing…”

Whether spear throwing or archery, the common theme is missing the mark, or target. So to Sin, in the Consciousness or energetic sense, is to aim at a false desire, or to have self-judgements causing us to not be allowed to aim at (i.e. choose) our true desire. That is another way of saying to “not be at one with our very own Being.”

Returning to our Binary Table, in Love Consciousness a certain quality of genuine Desire (the truth of our Being) is always present, while the effect of self-judgement is to override this and thus deny it:

Desire False Desire, or Sin

This gives us a more user-friendly, empowering, and helpful understanding of the concept of Sin.
