The Habit of Forced Good Habits

People try to address unwanted habits by forcing the opposite behaviour, which just creates a second, ‘Equal Opposite’ habit. That doesn’t achieve an absence of the unwanted habit. It simply results in a second habit being created alongside the first, so there are two bad (unwanted) habits instead of none.

Anywhere you’ve shut down your Awareness to the Reactive, ‘secondary’ or ‘Equal Opposite’ habits you’ve gotten into as a result of trying to stop the first habits, would you like to let that go?

And would you like to ask your body if it would like to let that go?
