“Holding guilt and shame are seriously bad for our health.” – Angèle Beaudoin
In order for your Conscience to work effectively, it’s important to retain some sense of the possibility that both guilt and shame can be genuine and may guide us to identify where we’ve done things that go against our authentic sense of right and wrong, which we can address.
That said, for the most part, guilt and shame are likely to be false, created by self-judgements being imposed upon us, and here we are invited to let those go.
Anywhere self-judgement is compromising the genuine, natural, healthy sense of right and wrong that you had before our dysfunctional society dumped its ills and opinions on you, would you like to let that go?
And would you like to ask your body if it would like to let that go?
You’re allowed to be free of toxic guilt and toxic shame
