Communication is the basis of all inter-personal relationship and success, and as such it is something that we cover here in great detail in this Module Fourteen, both in a conventional sense, and in a wisdom-informed way. Both are important.
Understanding wisdom, as is covered in the first Modules of the Course, sheds new light on communications and gives us a new perspective on them which empowers us to not be bound or constricted by the need for them to go a certain way. This frees us up to communicate effectively, and defines an Ego-aware approach to communication. As part of this we shall also introduce the concept of ‘Divine Schizophrenia’.

Combining a wisdom-based understanding of communication with conventional concepts of it as well is particulary powerful and empowering. In this Module, we shall address concepts such as voice inflection and non-verbal communications, such as body language, in addition to simply the words that we say.
Furthermore, combining this with an understanding of wisdom and Karma and Intention (as covered in the previous Module) allows us to see all communications, both verbal and non-verbal, in a way that is easy to deal with and manage, as simple expressions of our consciousness. If we can get that right, then we no longer need to worry about what the physical, subtle or other outward manifestations of our communications are doing, as they will automatically be in harmony with our true nature and true personality, and therefore in harmony with our best interests in any case.
All of this is explained in full and clear detail in this Module and throughout the Course.
The basis of good relationships with others, then, is the relationship which one has with oneself. When this is in alignment, we have the necessary foundation for effective communication with others with authenticity and integrity. Thus, this Course dedicates a lot of time to covering the Relationship with Self. The entire first part of the Course, Modules 1 to 12, is essentially about mastering the relationship with oneself completely and knowing all dimensions of oneself inside-out, and we bring this back into focus again here as the approach work to our understanding of communications with others.
Finally, as a logical progression of this, we also look at the energies involved in giving and receiving, foisting upon and taking. These are an important couple of distinctions to master.
Many people are not aware of the energy that any perceived giving – either by themselves or others – may entail, and we can experience unexpected responses when giving is confused with taking. This last part of this Module will explain the ins and outs of this dynamic with an understanding that leads to harmony.
